Trombone shot

The Trombone Shot is an in-camera effect that distorts normal visual perception in film. In effect, the zoom lens is adjusted to change the field of view as the camera pulls away or toward a subject. As a result, the subject appears to remain the same size as the background suddenly grows, causing a continuous perspective distortion.
