The woman is wearing a red jumper with a dog on it which shows that she is a dog lover. You can tell that the dog is well looked after as the dog doesn't miss behave when the photo is being taken, the flash does not bother him/her. The woman obiously takes pride in what her dog looks like as she brushes his/her fur with a comb to make him/her look presentable. It is as if she treats her dog as a child. The dog doesn't really seem to be bothered that is it there. The lighting is quite low key. This may be bacuse bright light's may make the dog behave strangely.
